Hello there.

The Calva's have been one of my longest returning clients. My friend Ivonne has hired me for her college graduation portraits, puppy sessions, and her sister's graduation shoots. At this point Ivonne — and her four sisters — are family to my partner and I. So when she asked if I could take her sister Laura's high school graduation portraits, it was a resounding yes.

Like a San Antonio local

I pitched the Historic Pearl for Laura's senior session to take place during Spring Break. Since the time change had messed up people's sleep routines, combined with the vacation period, it made one of the busiest spots in San Antonio remotely empty.

We walked around, chatted, and practiced different poses at various areas of the Pearl. One of my favorite shots to do is when the subject throws their cap at me (the camera). Sometimes it hits me, sometimes it hits the camera — and that's okay, because it's exactly what I want in terms of getting the shot we envisioned.

I am extremely grateful to have met the full Calva sister cohort, it's a privilege to experience how photography can deepen personal relationships — and have fun while doing so.
