But first, a thank you.

Thank you to Ivonne, Kori, Dez, and Liz for working with me during my first-ever studio session as a photographer. Y'alls support means everything to me and I cannot wait to host more studio minis in the future. Thank you.

The fun is in the details

When browsing the various studios San Antonio has to offer, one option kept coming back to me — and one I've had saved for a hot minute — Collective Studios above Kiki's Coffee along Broadway & Jones.

More specifically was the Eleven Hundred Springs studio. This place had everything a photographer could ever need in order to create fun + unique portraits.

Before this goes on longer: I want to give another special thanks to my good friend Luis who helped me film some behind the scenes moments as well as get footage of me in front of the camera.

From the handy chairs + props to the mini fridge stocked with water (thank y'all for that) it allowed for my clients and I to move around freely and have fun.

Coupled with me asking clients for song recs, once I hit play on the playlist we were in the zone.

We ran through the various pink, blue, and yellow hued backdrops, sat on stools + couches, and even played with Dez's bubble gun machine to which she admitted was an impulse buy (and a great one at that).

In the end, Collective Studios, my friends, and the creative challenge of a sub 30 minute shoot time, allowed me to flex my photographic muscle even further and unlock a new side of creativity that I haven't experienced before.

It also helped that unhealthy amounts of caffeine were flowing through me. To which I credit the less than 24 hour delivery timeframe.

If you're a local photographer or creative looking for a studio space, I cannot recommend Collective Studios enough — I booked my second session with them today actually.
